Don't get left stranded! Get your battery tested before it fails!
The biggest killer of a battery is heat. Most batteries will come with some sort of plastic or fabric cover from the factory. The cover serves to keep the battery clean as well as insulating the battery from the heat produced by the engine. Batteries in the trunk or under the seat of the vehicle will have vent tubes attached to them. These tubes must also be reattached to prolong battery life. The battery terminals and cables must be clean and tight to ensure a proper connection. Dirty terminals will cause starting and drivability issues. The vehicle’s systems will not function correctly because they are not getting enough power.
